Welcome and watch out… PUT YOUR BOOTS ON!... Its going to get deep in herr! A guy, that I’ve kinda made one of my mentors, Dane Sanders , has suggested that blogging is great way to help me organize my thoughts and seed creativity. This is why I’m leaking out my thoughts.

The “Big Red Ball” is how we start relationships. The “Big Red Ball” is the opportunity we have to spend time and talk with a teen while playing; a video game, pool, ping pong, or just sitting around throwing a red ball back and forth. You can open up to a kid while “hanging out” with him or her and when you do get ready because they are going to open up right back on you. It’s not as messy as it seems. When using “the Big Red Ball”, opportunities and the right to speak into that teens life is manifested. The “Big Red Ball” is not just playing silly games with teens to occupy their time and keep them from getting into trouble. It’s time to build relationships that will change the lives of teens, their families, and this community.

Relationship is the structure Christ used with the disciples and is the key. He hung out with them, worked with them, ministered with them, and my favorite: ate with them. By doing so he changed their lives and therefore they changed others lives. Jesus played “Big Red Ball” with them. Or maybe it was

“Big Red Rock” (no that would be stoning). But Jesus did not do this just to “Win” them over. He really, truly, cared and they were his friends. He became their friend even though he was God.
